I decided to go vintage in my photo today, and it was something about this look that made me immediately think of the television show, Mad Men.  The show was a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, and admittedly I’d have to give my inner feminist a gin and tonic to chill out during the period drama. But, if there was one thing that I especially enjoyed was checking out the men and their fashionable swagger.  As much as my inner feminist cried “Noooo,”  I couldn’t help but swoon over the staunch masculinity that emanated from the screen.  Their suits were impeccable, they drank manly cocktails, and they didn’t particularly care about being politically correct.  It was very manly, and very sexy 😉

In any event, my pinstripe suit from VoguE  puts me in a similar frame of mind in that it is the feminine version of being the boss.  This suit is fantastically detailed with a structured, cropped pinstriped jacket with zippered detailing, and fitted pinstriped pants. My vintage look is completed by jewelry from Maxi Gossamer, and a fedora from NYU.
