Hello good people.  As you may have noticed, I decided to spice things up a bit on the blog page and changed my theme.  For the longest, I have been itching to change things up a bit, but I was a bit intimidated… as much as I love the creativity of doing photos, web design is sort of foreign to me.  And I’m a bit of a pseudo-perfectionist… I want it to look perfect, but deep down, I know it will never be perfect.  However, this one seemed to reflect my bohemian spirit, so I decided to go with it.

And, since I’m kind of on a “marching to my own drum” bent right now, I was completely excited when I hopped over to The Bay for this photo and I found a group of pink flamingos.  Did you know that a group of pink flamingos is called a stand?  I just googled that… I’m such a nerd.  🙂  In further nerd and random trivia, Don Featherstone, the guy who made those kitschy pink flamingos that ended up in a lot of yards recently passed away a couple of weeks ago.  Needless to say, I immediately knew that I needed to plop myself down in the middle of this flamboyance of flamingos (another synonym for stand), and show off a couple of exclusives from next week’s FASHIONTROPIC event.

Ghee has released an awesome collection of swimwear and coordinating accessories for the event that allows you to mix and match your own swimsuit and create something that is completely unique to you.  I wanted to pick a couple of pieces that worked well with my Maitreya body, so I am rocking the ruffled bandeau and the string bikini bottom.  Ghee has also released coordinating sandals to go with the look, which are available in either thong for Slink flat feet, or wedges for high feet.  Each piece comes with a HUD which allows you to choose your color or pattern to further mix and match your look.

Moondance Accessories is also at the event, and has created a couple of really beautiful tropical accessories to complete your island-ready look.  I’m wearing the Hibiscus set, which includes a stunning floral headpiece, matching earrings, and necklace.
